Highcon reveals new Digital Die Cutting Solutions for Packaging ahead of drupa 2024

Highcon, an exhibitor at the pre-drupa event, has announced a new lineup of digital die cutting solutions designed to cater to the growing demand for smaller production batch sizes, faster delivery, increased sustainability, and enhanced customer experience in the paperboard packaging industry. The company’s new portfolio is aimed at mainstreaming digital die cutting by focusing on productivity, efficiency, and quality. The new lineup includes:

 

Highcon Beam 3: This new system for Folding Carton production offers improved quality and a 50% increase in production per shift compared to its predecessor, the Beam 2. The Beam 3 will debut at drupa 2024, boasting innovations to boost productivity and address a wider range of applications.

Highcon Vulcan: Currently in development, the Vulcan is a large-format system with a 1.4 x 1.7 sheet size, aiming to deliver the full benefits of digital die cutting for mainstream corrugated production. It supports boards up to 5mm thick, including microflute, B-, C-, and EB-flutes.

Upgraded Highcon Beam 2C: The Beam 2C upgrade offers approximately 50% enhanced productivity when paired with the optional Beam Writer. This enhancement is particularly beneficial for short- and medium-run corrugated packaging, especially for point-of-sale and web-to-pack applications.

Shlomo Nimrodi, Highcon’s CEO, emphasized the company’s commitment to addressing the evolving needs of the packaging industry, stating that “the time to die cut digitally has arrived.” He added, “Inspired by our amazing customers and their feedback, Highcon will demonstrate how digital die cutting is becoming mainstream.”

 

Highcon aims to showcase its new solutions, including the Beam 3 and Vulcan, at drupa 2024. The booth (Hall 9, B24) will feature the new solution portfolio, along with samples from the Vulcan prototype, highlighting the company’s dedication to innovation in the packaging industry.
